Vietnam is a beautiful country and has great people there. I am going to sell my house in singapore and move over to stay there permanent next year, some said i am crazy to leave a stable country and live there. WELL, vietnam is a country where i can feel relax and learn many new things there. PHuc Map U found the right place to live in .

great choice man. with your savings in Singapore you wll defo have a comfortable life in Vietnam. Singapore is too expensive and not really ideal for retirement. if you dont mind the languague barrier (might be a bit of a struggle to go about your daily life without knowing the local language) and a less clean environment than Singapore (trust me the gap is huge), Vietnam will hands down beat Singapore in almost every other aspect. Edit: Also add "security" onto the list. Vietnam is without a doubt a mad world with perils lined up everywhere you go. but if you're not so adventurous and always keep a watchful eye, it should be fine.

Your Vietnamese is awesome, the use of the language is very correct. Pronunciation is also very good. The only flaw would be the dialect, but that takes time.

I personally watch you to get good practice I’m listening to Vietnamese from an American accent. Able to actually hear you pronounce the words rather than a traditional Vietnamese person speak Vietnamese. I love the content too!!

I will soon be moving to Vietnam myself but I will be further down south. You give me much motivation for never have traveled outside of USA. Hi new to your channel very entertaining, Like you I was looking for a new place to live but unlike you I was looking to retire not work. You seem very outgoing and enjoy meeting people. Its fortunate for you to find Vietnam. Ten years ago I married a Philippine woman and she only really wanted the K1 visa and come to the USA. Once she got what she wanted, she took off and took more from me. I went on a trip to see Vietnam after it was highly rated as a retirement destination. Like you I also visited Singapore, Japan, Thailand South Korea. First country Japan and I liked the beautiful modern clean city but at least in Tokyo I always felt like an outsider and never felt welcome. MY first 3 month visit to VietnamI stayed in Dalat and fell in love with the people and their friendly welcoming nature, Any way Im in a situation now where Im unable to get back due to covid I have a girlfriend there who I miss so much. She said she would like to visit USA but does not want to live here she doesn't want to even move to Danang as thats too far from her mother and family. So the opposite of my marriage before (Irony). My marriage to her may help me stay in Vietnam but Vietnam doesn't issue fiancée visas, so I will apply for one here for her not for her to live here but only for me to visit with her here, who knows when the lockdown will end in Vietnam and then move to Vietnam and possibly live in Hcmc or Vung tau. I m trying to pick up some Vietnamese language while watching your channel. Any advice for an older man to learn Vietnamese language as I'm a man who failed french in HS

I agree, being both a USA and French citizen, who spent 12 months in Hanoi and HCM district 2 (Thao Dien)….. I too love VN. Hardly experienced any negativity there. Now Does my 6/2 athletic build and European style dress and mannerism help me avoid most confrontations in Asia ?…..not sure. Maybe…..Or is it because I always make it an effort to respect the hosts nations culture and avoid political discussions?
