It's videos like this that prove why Phuzzy is the best SOT streamer / content creator out there. It's been a long time since I've watched something that made me feel as good as this. Not only the best guides, not just a fun personality, but a genuinely great guy. You nailed it in your closing about how others use "thieves" as an excuse to be obnoxious, but there are real people behind those pirates. You've proven again some good people do exist out there still, you and Jackie are 2 of them. Keep it up Phuzzy, you are a class act. 👏

I had an interaction with a crew today after doing flameheart. Had a good battle with them over the loot but they eventually sunk us. I said "gg" in chat and swam over to them with my instrument to say "gg" in person. They were really appreciative of the good attitude and great sports. Had a good chat with them then carried on. My friends were a little salty, but I'm trying to get them on the same page. It was a great fight and the whole interaction made me think of your videos and the positive messages you always share. Wholesome moment here, I was on a server and a Reaper was sailing around, I intended to attack and sink them until I saw another sloop in the area, lo and behold a server hopper had joined knowing the Reaper was going to start the FoTD. I parked my ship at an island to try to get a first strike at them but they ended up coming to the same island. Eventually we agreed to alliance against the Reaper. We chases the Reaper all the way to Reapers’ hideout after they started the FoTD. By this time several other sloops had joined our alliance. We fought for around an hour with everyone against a Reaper Brig. Unfortunately they had already sold their loot but it was still fun. The best part was after the Reaper sank they boarded one of our ships and we all came together and said our ‘gg’s. There was no salt nor was there any accusation of hacking. Just someone who fought valiantly against the whole server and went down with pride.

Had a moment like this. Intended to wreck a reaper bones sloop fighting anchored with a skelly sloop about to sink them, but when I noticed their food and cannonball barrels were default, I quickly told my crew to save them instead. Turned out to be a kid trying to realize his dream of being a pirate. We had a blast, gave him all the skelly loot and whatever we had on our ship, then scuttled and logged. Every minute of that half hour of interacting with him reminded me of this video. Keep it up, Phuzzy and Jackie~

the background music in this made it feel like an early Disney short and the whole content of it just warms my heart which was nearly frozen by this dice of a game
@tackyoptic3 жыл бұрын
Helped 2 random crews (both sloops, I'm pretty sure they were new to the game/hadn't played in a while) through the second tall tale yesterday when my open crew disconnected at the beginning of it. Sure in the beginning I considered killing whoever I could once or twice then disconnecting myself, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. When we all beat the queen at the end they all got super excited. One crew said that they hadn't been able to complete it for days since people would camp the tale or it'd just glitch out, and they were getting ready to quit the game again for good, which broke my heart and made my day at the same time. I'm happy I could save a crew from leaving permanently, at least for the time being. So it's important to decide when it is appropriate to fight or help out, y'know? Since sometimes the helping can be more rewarding. It doesn't have to be something extravagant, maybe just a helpful tip here or there.

I played earlier today. I'm not even pirate legend. I saw a solo doing a tall tale at an outpost. Just hung out while they left. Another sloop passed by my sloop with a buddy, probably 6 inches of colliding, but it didn't hit. Full lanterns on, told both sloops that they should turn off lanterns because of you. I just want to make the seas as friendly as possible. Lastly, there was a galleon that came upon my buddy and I during a last order of souls mission for the night. They took control of the ship and piloted us to a fort. We sailed back to the island after a meg had attacked and the last guy to board died during the fight. We sailed past them and the fort (they wanted our help, but my buddy's wife wanted him back in bed at that time) so I told them we had to go for the night. All in all, a wholesome day on the seas. It was great fun. Wind in your sails my friends :) Edit. I've actually had more friendly encounters vs enemy ones in my time most recently. It's been a breath of fresh air. Respectful pirates on the seas are a 9/10 of people just meeting up to do their own thing vs pvp lords fucking over newer players. I hope it's not just my view. I like seeing this in the game
