Would it be possible to turn the polar form of an ellipse to the coordinate form?

Gaayathri, I believe it to be simpler than going from rectangular to polar. Recall that e = f/a, r = (x-f)cos(theta), r^2 = (x-f)^2 + y^2, f^2 = a^2 - b^2. Starting with polar form, substitute to get rid of cos(theta) first. Then substitute to get rid of r. Then substitute to get rid of f. Now it's just a matter of putting the equation in a familiar form. If this is not enough, I recorded a video of the process (kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXuUnnaaaceYpLM)
