I am such a fan of the big ole Dino! Box was good. Not spectacular but far from dumpster fire. Lot of playables

From what I understand about magic lore, Lucca didn't have much of a story. I bet he is much more interesting as a phyrexian now though. This box feels like it was about on par, maybe a little light. Even so, I really enjoy the power level of these cards in all rarities. Thanks for sharing!

I don’t recall seeing him before Ikoria so it’s weird for him to have already turned heel this early into his WWE storyline. This box started hot and then cooled in the middle. Still produced a lot of quality cards but it definitely didn’t have the same energy in the second half.

His phyrexia story amounts to "he bonds with a phyrexian beast and it corrupts him". great character

With Geth that -1 condition sounds okay if you build around it, some sort of synergy with blinking lowbies in and out of the GY etc. Best if you're already doing that though and he just fits

Geth is a tough one. The ability to reanimate is obviously great but the -1 is a huge hindrance. I think you could build around it but it feels more “enters the battlefield” based?

@@WildcatMTG Those are my thoughts too. You'd probably use him in a very niche deck where that's exactly what you want, but if someone exiled your GY or early game he'd only be working for the oponent.

glad to see another opening. you seem to always have really good opinions so how do you feel about every box having so many fast lands in them? POA got a box the other day with all 5 in cycle and you cracked quite a few in here.

This is actually the second box I’ve opened where I opened a Darkslick, Borderless Darkslick, and foil Borderless Darkslick in the same box. Which is weird… the funny part is if it fetch or shock lands then we’re typically like “Give me all ya got box!” Personally whether it’s fast lands, check lands, pain lands, battle bond lands, etc. I feel like an average of 2-3 per box is the right balance. I want people to be able to get them but I don’t to dilute them to the point they’re worthless.
