Physical Media Haul: Blu-ray, 4k, VHS, and Steelbook

Hey everyone, it’s been a bit since I’ve done a traditional movie haul so why not catch up on some of the stuff I’ve picked up over the last couple months that wasn’t shown on video yet.

Great haul video ! I love electric dreams too. Awesome soundtrack for sure. I picked up a region free media book last year for electric dreams released by Wicked Vision. It’s cool to see new VHS released mainstream crazy cool.

Thank you!! Yeah the Electric Dreams soundtrack is so good I’ll definitely be ordering the vinyl. The Together in Electric Dreams song has been in my head for a bit.

Electric Dreams sounds interesting but they probably got the idea from the HAL 9000.

Definitely inspiration there. Electric Dreams is smaller scale though. It’s just a home personal computer that is developing AI.

New shelves look clean Tim! Nicely done! I would like to do the same in my movie room, every time I go to do it, I change my mind bc I’m not ready to say goodbye to the art prints up there. U have a hipper wife who lets u decorate all the rooms with great art, my wife limits me to a 10X10 room. No brainer for you tho. Cant wait to see the “finished” product 😂 🤘🏻

Dude sacrifice artwork was my biggest thing to work around. Luckily as you’ll see when I do the video I actually didn’t sacrifice much overall. In some areas I’ll actually have more on the walls. I’ll have one 27x40, one 27x41, one 36x24, three 24x36, and then a bunch of other stuff. I’ll try to squeeze and 18x24 in somewhere as well. The artwork means just as much to me as the movies so I needed to work them in.

I don't get the resurgence of VHS tapes. Vinyl I kind of get as there are people who feel the sound is warmer than CD or digital ( I still prefer CD or digital over vinyl ). But unless you're just collecting VHS because you think it's cool I don't get it as the video / audio quality is not even as good as DVD let alone Blu or 4K.

It’s mostly a nostalgia thing. Quality is absolutely better on a Blu-ray and even a DVD, but sometimes I just want to chill and watch Jurassic Park or Terminator on a VHS with a CRT tv and get those feels from being younger.
