Koujoung They all sounded legit on the high C and G, for sure; unfortunately for JJ and AG, most coloratura sopranos are terrible at hitting low notes. It’s hard for me, at least, whereas hitting those upper-end notes is like raising my voice a little; otherwise, it’s about as difficult as speaking (singing is speaking on pitch, which is why people who suck at it are just trying way too hard and making it difficult - anyone can do it if they just calm down and stop trying to oversteer their vocal chords; they just don’t realize they’re doing it). Idk why people act like high notes are such a big damn deal. I’m envious of people in the mezzo range, because they have more versatility. Remember how Ariana used to fade out and she would basically whisper lower notes in her songs? She and I have similar ranges and I can’t hit anything with a bass clef in the signature (left of middle C). Ariana has gotten better in that regard, though. She hasn’t quite caught up to JJ. Kesha is developing her range very well, too. I can’t sing her songs, but I love her to death. It’s annoying that people believe she can’t sing. She’s honestly just as talented as AG and JJ. Tip: You can determine your range by your natural speaking range and by where your voice is the most powerful, not by which notes you can hit. Take Taylor Swift, for example; she has a strong alto range, but she’s a lyrical soprano. Her speaking pitch is higher than average and her singing voice is stronger on the high end of the piano. True “altos” like Adele are far rarer than sopranos, as females go. (They’re not actually called altos, btw.) I know she isn’t in this video, but I’m jealous of Taylor’s range, so deal with it. XD I’m still working on hitting middle C without sounding like a dying giraffe.Goals this week: achieve living giraffe.
