Henry's Law

For a solution that is nearly pure solvent, the solvent will behave ideally, and follow Raoult's law.
For a very dilute component, on the other hand, the solute behaves linearly in a different sense, and obeys Henry's Law.

this is blowing my mind, i cant believe there are such clear, simple, and well visualized explanations of all these chemical engineering concepts for free online. every video ive tried to watch on youtube tends to get bogged down in calculations or doesn't convey the theory clearly (if at all) so this is amazing. thank you so much!!!! - a struggling chemE student

That's how it works... you get started with the mild stuff, and before you know it, you're blowing off your friends to do hard-core thermo. Azeotropes are a helluva gateway drug
