The full wavefunction for an electron in an H atom (or hydrogen-like ion) consists of several parts: a normalization constant; a radial portion (consisting of a polynomial term and an exponential term); and an angular portion.
Three quantum numbers are used to identify a particular wavefunction: the principal quantum number (n), the angular momentum quantum number (l), and the magnetic quantum number (m).
