You can not use iron rod.......you can use either copper or alluminium wire but make sure there is no insulation on wire The resistor side pin is best substitute for it

You can use 1 big magnet otherwise 2 small magnet..... You can use any metal wire except Iron and also make sure it should not be insulated / coated

you have said that in place of resistance wire we need to use a metal which is not attracted by magnets but the resistance wire i'm using itself does get attracted to the magnet and the model is working fine. please explain why this is happening.

May be the wire used in the resistor you have used is made up of mixture of some ferrous metal that's why it is attracted by magnet But the force of attraction is low.........not strong enough to influence the rotation of coil

It will be good if you use that because the distribution of magnetic field in flat circular magnet will me something different I have never tried or seen someone trying this kind of magnet and I am not sure if it works but I recommend you to try because that what the science is all about, doing the experiment and inventing new things
