PERIOD BLOCK GROUP 6 | S | 2 My Question is if we apply (n+l) rule to know where the last electrone goes in which subshells (5d or 6s) for finding the block. Then:- (n+l) 1. 5d = 7 2. 6s = 6 So as we know:- 1. (n+l) proportional to Energy. 2. Electrone fill less energy subshell earlier or whose (n+l) value is less. So the subshell '6s' will be filled earlier and the last Electrone will go in subshell '5d'. So the Answer Should be A.) PERIOD BLOCK GROUP 5 | d | 3

The answer would be Group 2 because 5d0 means that the d subshell has 0 electrons. Hence there is no actual 5d subshell present in the element. To understand you can write the whole electronic config. and then evaluate group number.
