Sir.... Now there is national council for physiotherapy.... One more thing if someone wants to become a physiotherapists need to have interest in this field..... In India importance of physiotherapist is not clear to everyone.... Here in India if you want to practice you can earn in lakhs...monthly..... And more we treat patients without any medication.... We treat them manually or with the help of modalities... And yes definitely not with oils... If you want to become a physiotherapist ..... It's has a wide scope and still new researches are going on....if you want to do masters there are variety of MPT field.....last but not the least there is no comparison between physiotherapist and nursing...... We physios can work individual and by our own ....

These two proffesion cannot be compared,nursing works under medical doctors and yes i totally agree that the nursing's have more knowledge abt medicine. physiotherapy/physical therapist by the name itself says all about treatment through physical mode ie by (manual therapy,exercise and electrotherapy) without the use of medicine and can be worked independently and not necesary to work under the supervision of MD. NOT trying to defame any any proffesion here but clearing out the facts between confusion between MD,nursing and physical therapist. Every proffesion strives and contributes to achieve optimum benefits to the patient. Please choose your career properly based on your interest.

But nurses are said to be the half doctor and from doctor I mean the real doctors who has done mbbs MD etc etc. If we see physiotherapist has a much less knowledge regarding the disease Medicine and all the surgical producers in the medical field than a nurse. And now after doing a new course known as nursing practitioner nurses Can open their own clinic and treat pt just the mbbs or MD doctors and they also operate as equally as a junior doctor we can prescribe medicine, run test, diagnose disease, treat pt on our own behalf. Not to be harsh. Peace I respect your choice, but this is my point of view.

Physiotherapists learn more medical subjects deeply than nursing students because we also have to diagnose the actual problems. Nursing students are only given knowledge of the problems and not diagnosing the problems. If you'll be a PHYSIOTHERAPIST then you can also open your own personal clinic as well as practice in hospitals or do both simultaneously. You can never compare nursing and physiotherapists as they both are important in their respective fields.

Tuje kisne bola ki nurse apna clinic nhi khol skte? Nursing practitioner ka course krne k baad nurse apna clinic khol skte hain. And nurse practitioner are allowed to operate as a junior doctor and nurse practitioner can take round and prescribe for physiotherapy if they think that patient needs physiotherapy. Nurse practitioner write ORDERS for physiotherapy. JUST KEEP THIS IN MIND.
