You did not discuss the classes of phytochrome, how they are synthesize and degrade, how does the classes of phytochrome response in different fluence rate, how does the phytochrome activates the clock genes for circadian rhythm and influence the flowering development. I hope, you can add this topic to appreciate the inner beauty of phytochrome.

What sort of biochemical path is the Pfr undergoing to cause the physiological changes being mentioned? Is it mediating it through differential gene expression or is it itself a kinase or phosphatase of some kind that directly acts on other protein's activities?
@jaysonenciso71198 жыл бұрын
They didn't discuss the classes of phytochrome, if the classes of phytochrome was discuss. the PIF's and ubiquitin system will be tackle.

I am really confused about something regarding the phytochromes why does the flowering in the short day plants can occur in winter when the concentration of Pr is high and we say that Pr is the unactive form ? while in summer in SDPs flowering is inhibited when concentration of Pfr is high and we say that Pfr is the active form? so why Pfr is the active form if it inhibit flowering from happening? the LDPs make sense to me but SDPs don't, please help me! like what does inactive and active form mean here?
@KaitokiNohara11 ай бұрын
Some plants require Pr to flower other plants require Pfr to flower. That's y some are SDP and others are LDP. It's not about active or inactive form...it's about which type of phytochrome is utilised by the species of plant in question.
