Bellissimo. By the way Nasser ad-Din Shah was very interested in painting and photography - He was a talented painter - (can be found) Self-portrait of Naseruddin Shah at the age of thirty. The text below the image says: "I drew my own face when I looked in the mirror. We rode from Niavaran to Jajrud river for hunting. On Wednesday, the 13th of Muharram, the year 77 Bichiyel. Date Muharram 1277; was also a patron of the arts.

Handel's rival Bononcini wrote an opera about this ancient Persian king and Handel attempted to outrival this work even taking the well known beginning aria "Ombra mai fu" and improving on it though some prefer the simpler Bononcini version. Bononcini in turn based his "Serse" on an earlier Venetian opera by Cavalli where the "Ombra mai fu" aria is even simpler. People may watch the complete Cavalli version on You Tube though I believe most of the Bononcini opera has been lost.
