I think the best thing we can do is start buying and selling with Pi on the marketplace. That way we are not dumping tons of Pi in exchange for real world money (pennies) but generating perceived value (its only value) for Pi. And obviously we would need to only use a portion of our Pi coins and hold onto the rest.

If you think about it all that is needed for a crypto currency to be viable is scarcity. Bitcoin achieves that by making it harder to mine as more bitcoins come into the market. Apparently Pi controls the scarcity by downright setting a user count, when it's reached, mining is no longer possible and Pi starts to become scarce as more people demand it. Honestly I think it's a genius idea, it's user friendly, and way more environment friendly than bitcoin since there's no power consumption needed.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I try to focus on what really matters and not get lost in the technical aspects. Regarding Pi I think my video at kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpbOpqCpe6yKq8U is for now the last about Pi Network. The reason for that is that Pi has made so much progress that there is little doubt left that we'll reach the mainnet soon, and while there are/were still important milestones like the launch of the test-wallets to test the test blockchain, none of that is really important when we don't want to jump into technical aspects. The last challenge Pi has to face is how the KYC process will work for the millions of Pi Network users that didn't get one of the few hundred thousand YOTI slots that were available so far. And once there is some news about that, I might make another video. In the meantime, I'm trying to catchup with other projects and provide updates there as well.

It's never too late to learn something new, and IMHO, when it comes to crypto, starting with projects that don't require an investment is a great way to ensure that if you make a mistake, it's not your money that's gone. That said, besides Pi Network, you might want to do the following: 1. Get familiar with having your own wallet. You should update this video because there are changes since it was posted. The mining rate is way lower now. The app is not a wallet. Anyone in your security circle who quits mining or doesn't pass the KYC security part means that you will lose all the bonus PI that you got from them being in your circle. Nobody can guarantee that Amazon or any other company for that matter will accept Pi, but once it reaches phase three and is listed on an exchange you can always just sell a few coins for FIAT and than use that money to pay on Amazon. Or like it works right now - as shown in kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5umdnqCg7GBgNE - you could pay another Pi Network user in Pi coins and he/she then orders for you on Amazon and pays with his own money.

The last step is currently manually done on the team's end and AFAIK they focus on getting the last KYC issues worked out before the next migrations are going to happen. In short, nobody knows right now how long it will take but I'd expect at least a couple more weeks.
