Agreed. I am so tempted to buy this for private family car. We need small electric cars on road. I think I would totally buy it if charging stations are there. I prefer petrol cars only because there are petrol stations, if there are charging stations I will not look back at petrol cars at all.

Superb advertisement. Explains everything very well. It's a excellent solution. The biggest headache and expense of the autorickshaw is it's fuel and maintenance cost. In this vehicle those costs are not there. That's awesome! Sun Mobility rocks!

Sab sahi but the only negative point is swapable battery. It would be best if the batteries could be charged while running and can be charged by the owner when required. Swapping batteries is a just a medium to earn (cross sell) after an initial sale of product, as that will determine the cost of ride and the end consumer. If one is allowed to charge their own battery when required, one will save time to visit the swap station and can charge batteries over night or when free.

I believe it has regenerative braking, that mean when you stop accelerating (Accelerator at 0), the motor acts as a generator and starts charging the battery.

Oil mafias are not going to like this, reliance petroleum and all wants us to use petrol/Dies cars only. Although everyone knows electric cars can become much more powerful and have a very highly efficient engine than petrol/die engines where half of the energy is just lost as heat and gases from burning, because they are working like a generator, which generates electrical energy from heat energy by means of burning something, I don't see any difference between steam engine and petrol engine. The world needs to move towards more efficient and powerful energy system. Batteries have improved a lot over time, tesla have designed a battery which can last for 1 million kilo meters for tesla trucks, a traditional fuel tank can never achieve that. However electric cars with combination of solar panel on the roof top would be the deadliest combination.

It should atleast have a range of 500km. As battery charging would be painfully slow. Therfore once a day charging at nights will be reasonable. Battery swapping will not work atleast in remote areas. Still a good motive.

This is a very good vehicle. Novel idea and decent tech. Now I hope at least there will be strict screenings for auto driver. Horrible auto drivers in my area. Indicating one side and going the other way, blocking faster vehicles to overtaking, hoarding car parking space and hence forcing people to use autos, extremely reckless driving, publicly shouting and insulting other vehicle drivers, mobbing the other party in a crash even when the auto driver is at fault, etc...

The battery swapping feature is a crucial advantage which works for this vehicle. Sadly, it's hard to replicate this for a 4 wheeler which would be much more heavier and requires bigger batteries. If the aim is to minimize the charging time, hydrogen fuel cells could be a feasible option. Those could be made small enough to be swapped in the future and will be more powerful than Li-ion batteries.
