I like how you addressed the different colorings for the word “Salce.” Anna Moffo is excellent here as always but if you want an even more dramatic and emphasized reading of that excerpt, listen to Maria Callas’ rendition. She gets softer on each repeat of the word and the result is absolutely hypnotic.
