This performance is impeccable. Its precise but joyous and playful. It allows one to understand the brilliance of Stravinski's writing ,the interplay of divergent rhythms and the beginnings of his journey into polyphony. Its easier to understand this in this performance where everything is laid bare and not blunted in the orchestral performances where the complexities of multiple instrument writing make it a little harder to define. The way this husband and wife duo integrate their hands and their beings into this is quite extraordinary . Its a tour de force.

This is incredibly well-played! I wonder why did they end the piece like in Stravinsky’s solo piano version, cutting the death of Petrouchka, instead of sticking to the piano four hands version that follows the complete ballet. For sure this ending has way more impact on the audience than the other one. Anyway, it was really impressive! Bravi!!

@@renatofabbro5263 no, there's nothing wrong - it's natural. However, I think Stravinsky said something about "don't put lipstick on my music" (or something, I can't remember the quote). Basically him saying not to do random rubatos etc and the players are just to play what's written on the score.
