I LOVE how you sing, hum when showing us how to play. You methods of teaching are truly wonderful and unlocks many keys for us self taughters. I came across a Russian beginner book and I was so surprised to see they put emphasis on learn from recognized tunes first to train the ear with site reading and finger coordination to keys piano. I know it's helped me a lot. BEST TEACHER ON WEB YOU ARE!!!

I normally use a metronome just to check recommended tempo, and then shut it off. What one does in slow motion practicing can move into graduated tempo increases, preserving the shape of phrases. Bigger motions size down, and become less visible. It's more easily demonstrated..

First this piece was too difficult for me in order to achieve the sound and speed required in a few month's time, but after I first learned Chopin etude op. 25 no 2 and did all the etude's Cortot exercises, learning this seems much faster and easier..
