This is my first video to my "Piano for Studying" series. It's a 40 minute video and in the future I hope to get the videos to an hour. Please leave any comments/criticisms for future improvement. All piano music is original work. Is it too short of a video? Does it need more background noises like rain? Say whatever you like and have a wonderful day!

88Kieys Elliott Spenner ah no, no rain is needed, just your piano ! length is reasonable since 40 min sessions is better than too long. brain will burn out (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`) miss you !

The whole thing was beautifully composed, I loved the tranquility. The background noises were sufficient, I do not think that more would be any better. You have found a very lucky balance in this video! Do not add any stock or pre-recorded noise to it, please, that would be kitschy. Also, limiting the noises to the ones which are clearly related to the events visible in the picture creates a very warm, safe, intimate feeling. Criticism? One thing I missed very much from the video: your face/head. If you feel that a few seconds here and there (maybe in the transitions from one scene to the other) would not break the flow of the strongly focused main theme (your hands - you are all hands and dexterity, Elliott), you could show the back of your head, your profile, your forehead over the book. The tea kettle was a nice experiment. :-) The one hour duration would be perfect. And before I forget: you are adorable.

As a man who studies with piano music, more often than not, having just the natural sounds of someone playing the piano is far more helpful and less distracting. I vote to leave the background sounds as you have them in this video. As someone who lives alone, the sounds go far enough to make it feel like someone else is around, studying or working along side you. Remember, 'Less is more', especially where studying is involved. Also, keep in mind that a typical album, of most music is around the 45ish minute mark. Give or take a few minutes. Once you are able to get more of these out, I'd gladly setup a playlist with several videos back to back to get the time that I need to get through my own study session. Beautiful job on the music as well, Elliot! I've been watching your videos for a few years now and love what you're doing. Keep it up!

It's a perfect idea! I've studied maths while listening to it and I'm very satisfied. Just one thing I'd improve is to set micro farther to things u have in hands like paper, books. I'd rather hear your piano arrangements and other sound could be just a little bit more silent or quieter (just at some moments of course) You did a great job, and I love these tranquil, gentle, soft and calm tunes indeed

Glad to see you back, Elliott! Where have you been? It's a great idea to make a study session video because I always accompanied by this kind of video while studying. Maybe next time you can add crackling fire or rain as background noises.

I enjoyed this a lot. I like the use of naturally-occuring sounds when studying. Maybe try one with rain, but I don't think it's necessary. I will say that the space between songs seemed too long and I didn't like how some of your songs seemed cut short. They don't need to flow into each other, but they should feel more connected rather than stiched together awkwardly.
