Great video, I hoped to find an answer for three questions: 1) How long a preparation can last? If I ask to my technician to make warmer the sound of my baby grand, how long will last this voicing? 2) Can be the voicing reversed? 3) Does the extension of the voicing depends on the qualities of the hammers?

The answer to the 1st question is uncertain as voicing is affected by climate and how frequently the piano is played. No. 2 = Yes, a mixture of acetone and polystyrene is added to the hammer which makes harder after the solution dries. If a piano is too bright, hard or brittle sounding, it is voiced down to make it more mellow by needling the hammer. If the tone is mushy the solution is added. It's important that the hammers sound evenly throughout the entire range of the piano.

What causes a note to have a vibrating warbled sound? I’ve had my 7 year old Yamaha GB1K tuned 3 times over 10 months and the problem still extists on certain notes in the middle part of the keyboard. Neither of the techs that tuned the piano could find what was the problem. Any advice?

It’s something to do with how the action is adjusted I’m not familiar with grands but I know that in upright pianos that warbling is caused by the hammer bouncing on the steel strings there’s a way to adjust it im surprised your tech didn’t know

IMO no digital piano can compare to an acoustic piano sound (in tune of course).

I had a Yamaha digital piano and the thing I noticed was that if I played it for a long time, it started to sound fake. Nothing changed in the actual tone of the piano, but my brain just noticed how every note was exactly the same expression or feeling with none of the miniscule changes that happen because you can never play a note exactly the same twice
