Great video! I have the exact same model of PianoDisc power supply and am experiencing no power. I plan to follow your instructions to check, and hopefully fix, mine as soon as I work up the nerve.

Used your video to replace 9 out of spec capacitors in my dead power supply for $40 worth of parts. Many thanks. If you are intimidated by doing this yourself there are many stereo repair shops that will “re-cap” older equipment.

That's awesome! Glad you were able to get it going again and thanks for adding the tip about the stereo repair shop. The replacement costs of these power supplies are pretty crazy so hopefully that will help for anyone that don't have the tools. Just out of curiosity was it the same caps that were bad for you?

Shane: Awesome video. I found nearly a dozen capacitors that were out of spec or open and two 320 ohm resistors that were open. Unfortunately, that didn't do it. There is a short somewhere that was smoking the resistors again and without a schematic, I was at a loss as to where to go from there. I have a bit more than basic electricity knowledge, but by no means an electronic technician. I feel that if i had a schematic diagram of the components and connectivity, I may be able to sniff out the root cause of the failure. Any idea where I might be able to get one? Thanks again for getting me started on this journey,....i have learned a lot and haven't given up yet :😀 Len
