Pianos Off -CALC- Novation SLMK3 with User chord-bank hack.

Recorded live Friday 14th August 2020.
Recording notes:
SL MKIII is sending clock to everything and controlling, Octatrack and Blooper.
Piano chords pre-programmed on the SL pads, with the sequencer part muted it becomes a User-chord bank.
SL MK3 keyboard set to a single zone to play (mainly) the Rhodes improv.
0-Coast - bass
Morphagene - droning chimey stuff
Stereo Dipole - medium speed LFO filter pinging
Summit - two arps set with different rhythms on two separate parts on left/right side.
Octatrack - Drums (main beat)
piano - Spitfire Cinematic Felt Piano
Yamaha CP Rhodes 1 sound bit of reverb.
Off the cuff recording of studio performance with vid, one shot video's a bit boring, especially with a lot of synthy stuff out of shot to the side. But I thought the track was alright. Could be worth listening to without the video as well.

Can you help me to set the chord on the pad and then at the same time play the keyboard? I mean I need play chord with one finger (I have disability) and with the other hand play normally all the keyboard (with one finger too 🙈)

why my pads don't work when the sequencer is playing, only when the sequencer is stopped I can play chords with pads?

Hey Den Den, You'll need to mute the part for the pads to work as a chord bank. Muting the part disconnects (mutes) it's control from the sequencer at that point the pads become playable. Hope this helps.

When I try this, the notes I play on the keyboard are added to the chord pads. What settings do I need so this doesn’t happen?

Ahh a nice blast from the past this video. The trick is to turn on zones on the track you want to play with keys and set the zone range to the full keyboard just for that track. With zones 'on', regardless of the track you select the keyboard will remain focused on the zone. In this instance the selected track was track 1 - the piano for the chords (NB this track is muted too to make the pads trigger the chords, rather than just play the sequence) the selected zone (i.e. the keys) was set to track 2 which was connected to the Yamaha Reface CP for Rhodes noodling duties. Hope that helps. At least I enjoyed listening to it again while writing this.
