bro i dont think linux would be the best option for most indians (arch user btw) but even back when i used to use linux mint i had compatibility issues and even if we ignore that running windows apps using wine is a hassle and many not all are on windows and mac only , just run a lite version of windows like tiny 11 or revision os (debloated windows project) it can handle all the basic tasks good enough while also givng compatibility and ease of use without bloatware

What students need to look for before buying any Gadget for studying 1)That Laptop/tablet/Chromebook must have atleast 2-3 years of OS support 2) A Decent Processor a year old is good and if it is more old than then it must be one of the powerful processor when it was launched 3) A free Microsoft office application for atleast 2-3 years for Students would be amazing Deal And price should be reasonable

So he was upset with the experience. So I thought I should let him know about this so the op ( original poster ) can make better decisions for himself.

I think every student should just get a cheap android tablet for his video lectures. The big keyboard on the laptop is pretty useless when studying and consumes unnecessary table space. For a person like me who has a smaller study table, this is very frustrating. Tablet is more portable and gives better performance than laptops in same range. The display and speakers are also better.

I bought a 2015 macbook air at 19,000 for my brother and it works way better. There's no need for such devices , go for a tablet or a used ThinkPad / MacBook air.

Pw user but I use honor pad x9 and using since 1.5 years and working perfectly and it's quite powerful bgmi 40fps me mast chalta hai. Main gaming krne bol nhi rha bas performance bta rha hoo kafi acchi hai
