Out of all the talents working in this song, I am unable to believe javed akhtar wrote the lyrics to this song and others in this movie, to capture the emotion and mind of the teenagers aptly by the guy in the late 60s. Shows you the value of keeping yourself up with the time, many of his colleagues retired as they were unable to change, current example could be of Govind still trying to be hero no.1 rather than acting in such beautiful online tv shows he has the talent but can not move past his glorious past image of hero no.1, anyway apart from javed sahad gulzar sahab is also active and producing gems till date.

People used to call me your voice is same as farhan akhtar back when this movie came and more people heard his voice. I found this out in 2001 when first ever saw farhan akhtar in an interview for dil chahta hai. I was like he sounds like me. When this movie came my friends made me sing this one and aasma hai neela kyoin and this was the first time ever people weren’t making fun of my voice and actually find it distinct. Even random people approached to me to say I sound like farhan when they heard me talking in those days. I left india in 2010 and wasn’t with Indians now but still few Indians who bumped in said this. Today in novermber 2021 someone said this again and all those flashbacks going since then. It’s too late now, I’m gonna play and sing this song out loud tomorrow.
