Chris Jones is playing well; the problem is the lack of pressure off the edge to help support him when he gets pressure but isn't able to finish because he gets double-teamed more than other defensive tackles.

Love the pod guys but I have one small request. Since you’re unable to show live film, would Chris be able to do “marking” of the still shots so he can go intro greater detail about the play as he’s walking us through it. He’s saying a lot of great things but I think some drawing on the still shots would be great. 47:15

hey ahmed and chris! I love what you guys do. i watch both pods every week. i’m a seahawks fan and i know they’re not the most exciting team but i would love it if you guys took some time to talk about them. the defense has been so exciting to watch since the bye but the offense has been sliding. we all know they need to run it more with K9 but i feel like they don’t have the confidence in their o-line to create holes for him. Also Big Cat and Spoon for Co-defensive players of the year.

Regarding the chiefs defense, it’s not the loss of sneed. It’s the injury to Jaylen Watson. They were lockdown until he got hurt.
@Josh-ie9cd18 сағат бұрын
Also, Chris is wrong about Chris Jones. He’s getting double-teamed on almost 70% of snaps and he still has one of the highest win rates of any tackle in the league. The problem is with Omenihu hurt, there is no one else who can get pressure. So when CJ gets pressure, which he often does, no one else is collapsing the pocket, so the qb can easily escape.

Eagles DL dominated up front and Lamar was pressured all night. I think that got in Lamar’s head and caused him to miss some throws
@logann2916 сағат бұрын
Lamar was only pressured on 7 of 36 dropbacks. They’ve had one of the highest rated o-lines all year, idk why ravens fans keep making this excuse lmao

I genuinely feel that the Ravens are preserving their run game for the playoffs. The ravens are losing close games and are carrying a kicker that has the yips. If tucker can turn it around, the ravens will be formidable. The bye has come at the perfect time for the Ravens.

Hey Chris and Ahmed, if you were starting a franchise today, would you rather have Anthony Richardson or Trevor Lawrence at QB? Obviously Trevor has an enormous contract now so I’d be interested to know your answer including the contract situation and your answer if the contracts weren’t part of the discussion. Thanks so much love the pod. -Ben

Lamar hasn’t been overly sharp the past few games but the O-line has played poorly and it’s for sure affecting him. The play calling also needs to be better, whether it’s Monken or Lamar changing the play.

Why is everyone always walking on egg shells and apologising for doing their jobs analysing QB play when it comes to Lamar Jackson? He is a choke artist in big games. Full stop. Don’t see this same kind of equivocation when critiquing Russell Wilson or Josh Allen. LJ should put on his big boy pants and take the constructive criticism like every other QB.

I'm surprised at the take of so many that the eagles are simple. As a big fan, there's one difference between this team and the 01-04 mcnabb/reid eagles, 2017 SB team, and the 2022 team. They're a run first football team. It's not simple it's old school football. Number 1. Rushing offense, 1. O-line, 1. Defense. It's just a good old school style team. Which is impressive in today's nfl
@tjsumigray226 сағат бұрын
Matt: the Eagles run inside zone a staggering 72% of run plays. The next closest team is at 41%!!!! They basically use their O-line + Saquon to dominate in a simplistic way.

@ arm talent and decision making between him and farve are the same. Look at atl Brett before he got to Green Bay. Biggest difference is the systems they went into and farve never really got benched. Jameis went to NO and was playing well with Sean Payton till he tore his acl. That’s why coaching and situation are just as important as the talent you have.

Like a broken record player, I've been saying... Lamar Jackson Is a phenomenal athlete but he is extremely overrated as a QB! He is a HB/WR type athlete playing QB and it shows. The moment he can't run or the running backs are struggling, the ravens lose those games because Jackson is not a legit QB! Ravens are overrated as a whole!
