Just off the highlights, it looked like Dalton was under no pressure. Cincy's in that top tier of QBs, but it's really hard to pay Burrow AND the WRs. Something's got to give. Where KC is saving money is at the WR spot. This isn't great for Mahomes, but KC builds the best all-around team they can, year in and year out.

I never thought caleb wouldn't be succesful, I just think he is harder to get along with. During the draft I thought it was odd that caleb was only congratulated by one guy in the room, nobody else even looked at him. By far the best NFL analyst podcast out there, Chris & Ahmed are the best. My question for Chris (as an aspiring GM) would be: How can NFL owners/GMs avoid situations like what we've seen with Brandon Aiyuk CeeDee Lamb, where they demand money & hold out in the preseason& training camp, only to underperform, leaving less money to be spent on arguably more deserving players, like Jauan Jennings in SF or Tyler Lockett in SEA? Seems like a diva problem that has only gotten worse in recent years. Thanks and love the pod, guys!

Players will have that leverage unless the CBA changes. Players know if they get a new deal and they are under their rookie deal that any fines for missing practices can be waived (I know they held in and players aren't fined until a couple days before week 1 if they hold in). They held in and both sides understand the deadline so deadlines spur action so I dont see how that can be avoided really.

I know Josh will never say it, but he had to see what Mahomes was able to do without Tyreek and find the lack of drama appealing. Allen is consistently growing, and it's always the one team that scares me as a Chiefs fan. Would love to see Chris take a deep dive into how some of the all timers and soon to be have adapted their games over time. Peyton, Brady, Mahomes, Allen would all be interesting to look at.

I'm a believer in caleb williams but it's wild that all I heard all off-season was how caleb was going into the best situation a 1st pick has EVER gone into. Look at all the talented revievers they got him, they weren't that bad last year, etc. And now it's Jayden Daniel's has the better support system. I love how before the season everyone is like no rookie QB has ever come into as good of a situation as Caleb. Everyone is like Jayden situation not as good, team around him not as good. Now Jayden's situation is much better than Caleb's. Same thing before the start of last season, the Texans had the worst roster in the NFL everyone said. Panthers failed Bryce Young they have no weapons then you plug a journey man backup and he looks like Drew Brees.

Bad O-line play in Chicago, Caleb threw for 320 and 2tiddies last week. he’ll be fine although i’m worried he’ll ever reach the potential i thought he had (especially if he gets in bad habits like flushing the pocket early or looking down at the rush) JDaniels looks incredibly confident and sure of himself. i think JDaniels could be better than Lamar if he gets paired with the right HC/OC edit- bryans1883. we posted at the EXACT SAAME TIME SAYING ALMOST SAME WTF

They don't want to be too dependent on Lamar's legs. He took too many hits in that Chiefs game, imo. Sure, safe runs are OK, but I just think they should go under center, run hard with Henry, and let Lamar create off the play fake. I'd force teams to defend the double move. I wouldn't use the quick passing game, at all, with Lamar. He's far better off rolling out or posting-up left or right off the play fake.
