Pile 2- some of this definitely resonates with my situation. Except the card which says ‘the timing just wasn’t right’. Timing was never the issue because I realize that I choose better for myself because I deserve better. It was and never will be the right time because I don’t want this or choose this. In the past I gave my power and energy away to narcissists and maybe this experience was just about realizing my worth. You’re were exactly right when you said “you realized that something just doesn’t work for you. You just couldn’t.” Sometimes in order to receive what we want, we first have to realize what we don’t want. Maybe someone who we once desired is actually not right for us or good for us at all. But I needed this in order to figure out that it doesn’t make me happy. Yes this type of person triggered me, yes I said hurtful things, but maybe that was necessary.. not for them but for myself. I needed to call attention to this unhealthy pattern and cycle in my life of attracting toxic partners and takers. Even though on a physical level this was something I desired, on an emotional, mental and energetic level I resisted being pulled into their darkness, and I’m so glad I did. I was pushing them away and I think in doing so, I saved myself from a lot of pain down the line. I knew this is something I really didn’t want and this person did not have my best intentions at heart. I don’t feel bad about it. I did the right thing. The thing about this person is they are stuck in an unhealthy place and mentality and they refuse to acknowledge it, even though it’s hurting them and the people around them. In their mind they are the victim and therefore they feel justified in treating people like worthless objects. It is not my place to save individuals who don’t even want to self reflect or think about how their actions effect HUMAN BEINGS.. they are REAL people, not toys. Many of these narcissists, choose to keep lying and abusing others, because it’s working for them. Give them the space to do that, let them. Meanwhile, there are amazing souls in the world who can offer you something genuine with equal give and take.
