I picked #3. I'm a writer in the process of editing my first novel right before I self publish it. Considering it's not a normal job, or even a job at all at the moment, and I'm suffering a mental illness and therefore not working, I get quite down on myself a lot. It's because there's really no concrete outcome, no concrete salary, and one doesn't know anything will come of self-publishing a novel at all. Even when I'm told it will go well, it is severely hard for me to believe, and I dislike the vulnerable feeling of the entire process as I have based the novel around myself and some of my experiences even though it's fiction. I am glad to hear someone will come into my life within a year and a half that I can create with. Someone "powerful" and "charismatic" with a "strong persona" sounds like someone that can help me push past the deep fear I have creating for others. I chose #2- the tree. I've recently come to the realization that I need to set boundaries with ME. A few days ago I wrote a journal entry about being a victim of myself and have written before about how it feels like there's an insurmountable barrier that keeps me from my potential. I also told my mom today that I finally feel like I've "grown up" at 32. It's been a hard, frustrating journey. I feel that wall is coming down, though, and I believe this reading is confirmation.
