Pick wild figs and jackfruit | Make pickle, jackfruit curry and ginataan for dinner

Attention ‼️‼️ The wild fig featured in this video is just one of the numerous fig varieties in the PH. People in my country call it tibig, tebbeg or tubog. They grew a lot beside the rivers, streams and other moist and fertile areas. Unknown to many, this fruit is edible and can be eaten as a vegetable and fruit when ripe. It's not poisonous so don't worry. The fruit can be pickled and can be cooked in different dishes too. The fig top(talbos) can be cooked in coconut milk(ginataang talbos ng tibig). In my experience, we don't utilize the fruit that much because it tastes bland unlike other fig fruit varieties in the market that are sweet. Though the taste is subjective. It differs from person to person. If you want to try it, it's better to remove the seeds and be sure that it's the same variety. If not sure, just leave it. Safety always comes first. -Gayyem Ben
