Joel is a stat guy w/o context jalen didn’t need to throw for 380 and 4tds but when he DOES it’s “he played a trash schedule” as if he picks his schedule. Completely dismissing the fact that last week he was hyping up Brock purdy for going 8-0 also against trash teams. Joel isn’t a hurts hater he just moves the goal post for ONLY Jalen Hurts.

This is my issue with Riv and Joel especially. As a QB, your job is to control the game and do what is necessary to make sure your offense scores and win the game above all else. Jalen has done that in 16/17 games this season. He is an All Pro QB, 2nd in MVP voting, Pro Bowler, and accounted for nearly 4500 yards, 35 touchdowns, on a 67% completion percentage this season. While I understand the sentiment of wanting to see Hurts in a “shootout” type setting where he has to match another QB throw for throw, our team has proven to be dominant to point where he hasn’t needed such a performance. So why penalize him for that? How is that his fault? Why is it his fault for his GM actually doing his fucking job and surrounding him with the pieces to succeed? The goalpost continue to move. When the AJ trade happened, the narrative amongst NFL fans and media was “it doesn’t matter. Hurts is a running back who can’t consistently make NFL throws and be the QB of a successful offense that can win/compete for a championship” Now he’s done that and the goalposts are MOVING AGAIN.

The fact that he’s not being given credit is absurd. The eagles lost the 2 games he missed but with hurts they would’ve easily won. He has an injury to his THROWING shoulder. You could tell it was bothering him. He had multiple throws that were significantly under-thrown while he was over-throwing on deep balls. When he was healthy he wasnt missing those throws. Shit, on his first run of the game he got hit directly in his injured shoulder. Even with all that being the case, he was still efficient and didn't turn the ball over. How exactly is that him not leading the team to the SB? Moronic take from Joel. He's absolutely hating. We saw what the team looked like without him under center and It was awful. The offense didn't look very elite then, did it? I really want you to look at all other top QBs and the team they had around them. With the exception of probably less than an handful they have a great roster.
