I don't understand why you keep rushing out to block. What do you think about the surface behind the goalkeeper that creates. A striker chips or goes around an onrushing goalkeeper. Bring a striker to the next training session who really wants to score. Now they shoot straight at the goalkeeper. Is there no critical thinking in the coach?

no mate in 1v1 there is very little margin to chip , the bigger the space there is between the striker and the goalkeeper , the more surface area and time the striker has to aim at . Would you rather the goalkeeper holds his ground from 10 yards out and effectivey face a penalty ?
