These machines may be old but, still the best in my opinion. Good to see them still running and working. Thank you for sharing, cheers :)

I wish my old 60 looked as good as that one! There's nothing like the sound of those old two cylinder JDs. We had a similar New Idea, one row picker when I was a teenager. Ours might have been a bit later model. Nothing like work to keep boys out of trouble, at least that's what my Dad thought. 😂

Nice to see equipment working, that is a sweet JD 60 , memories , stay safe , enjoy , my father used a team of horses back in the 30's & 40's , no tractor , I helped my uncle Benny & his father in the early 60's , JD model A , JD model B & my favorite was a 720 JD gas , I learned a lot , great memories , it is still in my blood , I cherish those days today ! Keep the videos coming , thank you .

Oh, the memories that flood through my mind as I watch this. I grew up in the 50s and I remember the John Deeres. That Allis Chalmers. New Idea. All those old equipment. That was my understanding of farming. Thank you❤

Remember as a kid me and the neighbor girls would shell corn with hand crank shelter. We thought it was a blast!

Hello there. This is Jim from Georgia. I meet you at your Father’s antique store. I said I would follow you guys. Glad to see you made a post. When I’m up there next I’d like to come by and maybe you could put me to work for a day or two at no charge. I like old school. All the best!

How were you able to use the PTO to power it correctly as I'm guessing it came with either an engine, OR could it have been belt powered?
@JaymeGoetzАй бұрын
@@jameskelley8839 pretty sure it was factory PTO

Corn Sheller didn't have a drag?
@JaymeGoetzАй бұрын
No it didn’t, we just got some today
@hturbo1007Ай бұрын
@JaymeGoetz the drag will make it so much easier. We have a Minneapolis Moline 1200 with 6 sections of drag and we can go a long way into corn cribs. Not too much shoveling. When we shell from a wagon it takes just one drag. We can shell over a thousand bushels per hour when we're set up in a large crib.
