Marie and I are SO enjoying your reading journey. You and Ian are like the two of us, back when we first got married. We met because of books. I've always been a big reader, and so was she. We read together, like the two of you do and it is so much fun enjoying books with the person that you love. Thank you for sharing your moments of enjoyment of The Art of Catching Feelings. Now Marie and I have decided to read this book, together. I will read a chapter, then she will read a chapter. We sometimes get the audiobook (for when we are traveling...which has been rare of late), but we are going to read this book...and laugh together. Thanks for the "recommendation." The Realm of the Elderlings is a beloved series, and YES, the Assassin's Apprentice is a slow start, but ALL the books that Fitz and the Fool, are amazing books. I recommend it tremendously. Marie usually doesn't read Fantasy, so she's never read Robin Hobb, but I have and loved them. There are a few of the stories that I love less in her overall series, but like I said earlier, the ones with Fitz and the Fool are the best. I smiled so hard watching you guys just hanging out reading and laughing at your book together. I love the Farseer trilogy, my favourite is the second one, it's got a lot more action/development but Hobb's pace is definitely slower than most other fantasies I've read. Maybe get Ian to give you some spoilers if you feel like you want to give up on it, to see if you do want to finish it? It is a really long intimidating series 😅

Awesome video ‼️💯🩷💜 I know that Ian has read The Assassin’s Apprentice and so I finally got this book and I am on chapter 11 41% of the book and I am so bored with it and i had to increase the speed to 3x and it’s still so boring and slow. I am going to finish it because I want to finish it under 10 hours but I am not going to continue this series because it’s so so so boring and slow and it’s filled so much extra information and maybe fans love her writing but I didn’t understand her prose or her writing but I am also giving it a rating of 2.25 but I am so glad that I borrowed it from the library and that i didn’t waste my money. How do you know if a book has good prose or good writing ?
