Hmmmmmm. very interesting, it is like a space craft type of build with guitar tech.

Nice looking work! I just wanted to say/ ask: if you are using aerospace grade nomex or the regular (civilian grade I call it)? It looks like the regular grade which is a light brown color, and comes all fuzzy and rough looking. It looks like the sheets were cut with a dull blade. By contrast, the aerospace grade has a light orange color, and it comes very cleanly cut, has a more polished appearance, and has no fuzzies on it, even after sanding with a coarse abrasive. I have used both many times, having built over 100 double tops. I cannot reliably hear a difference between the two grades in terms of sound, but the aerospace grade looks better, and it is tougher, not pulling apart as easily when you try to tear it. APC composites used to sell both grades, but now they are just selling the "civilian" grade. I like your vids. Thanks.

Greetings, and thank you. I have used both types and have used APC as a supplier (not the only one). I was dissappointed when they discontinued the type and size I was relying on. I did get some different sizes of the standard type to play with, but so far haven't gotten around to working very much with them. I went with a slightly larger honeycomb diameter with the standard type, which trades off less material but thicker walls. It seems to have not made much difference in sound or durability, so far at least. The only real issue is that I could use the smaller diameter, thinner walled Nomex without resurfacing, while the standard needs to be thinned down, thus the nits.

Great informative video dada, as usual.. what kind of wood are you using in the bridge and soundhole regions? Is it balsa or something else...

It is balsa. I have also used Western Red Cedar, but I prefer the lighter weight of balsa. This is the only place I use balsa.
