PICKING Ole Miss at LSU | Lane Kiffin, Rebels headed to Baton Rouge to face Brian Kelly, Tigers

LSU has not been a very welcoming travel destination for the Ole Miss Rebels in year's past. The Rebels have not won in Death Valley since 2008, and if they still want to make the playoffs, they must do something they haven't done in 16 years. Who wins this game? Can Lane Kiffin lead the Rebels to victory, or will LSU defend its home turf?

@@cane870 so I get that you are not an LSU fan, and I am not either. But you could have made yourself sound less uneducated with a quick Google search. Perkins has been the back to back sack leader and top 5 tackle leader for LSU in 2022+2023. He also has been effective in past coverage with four active pass defenses in each of those years. As long as we come to a consensus that being the best player defensively on the team does not matter, I agree with you that he does not matter to the defense with respect to the past two seasons

Nobody bringing up the fact that in the past 20 years, SEC teams that have back-to-back road games have lost almost 80% of the time is pretty nuts... Even though this is a flawed LSU team its an Extremely BAD spot scheduling for Ole Miss.

Hey Andy, I agree that stopping the Rebs offense is a tall order for this LSU defense, but the part about Blake Baker as DC @ Mizzou against OM being a shootout even with Mizzou first rounder at edge and two NFL corners (1:58 or so mark)...well OM and Mizzou haven't played since 2019 as far as I can tell, at which time Blake Baker was actually on the LSU staff I believe, but I'm not sure you're wrong with your pick in the end, but that won't be a reason why.

LSU scheduling both of them same year is not super awesome for the actual football (USC versus LSU is a awesome out of conference match up between two elite historical teams. but since it is a one off game, LSU scheduling UCLA in the same year is weird to me. My biggest support for it is that the uniform matchups were elite. LSU, USC, and UCLA all have top 10 color combinations in college football uniforms.

Not really. A lot of SEC teams have played only 1 or 2 games so far. There are couple exceptions. But lsu also has 7 SEC games in a row upcoming

I think Josh Pate said that it was a lock that LSU would beat Ole Miss. He's normally right when he does his early Ramen noodle express locks. So I hope its at least close and they don't blow Ole Miss out. That would hurt.
