Just subscribed to your channel. I'm picking up a lot of knowledge you're putting down. I was an owner op for 7 years.. pulled reefer, dry box, step deck, flatbed, lowboy, walking floor etc and I just started hauling cars on a 2017 389 ez loader. I love it and wanna buy my own but I'm a little uneasy making the leap off first on a 9 car ez loader. I was thinking on buying a used 7 or 8 car high mount to pull behind my pete. I have a 95 379 wit 320 wb. In essence, I could always extend the top deck out to possibly fit another vehicle on depending on what else I place on top no? My plan is to get atleast a year experience hauling cars as a company driver before I jump on my own

Spot on i too started with a3 car wedge moved up to 6 car Wally Mo and now 10 car high rail my insurance cost is less with a stinger I’m still learning the high rail my only regrets should bought a 80’ quick loader simply because of all the new vehicles I haul . The other thing I didn’t know when I started was law enforcement if you have a 3 car wedge your going to get pulled over state of Tennessee has told me 70% of all hot shots are in violation

So after training do you keep your guaranteed pay plus 25% so if you make 10k for the company one week then you’ll make 3700$ for that one week and I know you get paid biweekly so let’s say you do that the next week too then would you make 7,400$ in one paycheck??? I’m joining this company and they are not clear on this. Because if I’m making 7400 paychecks then I’ll one hundred percent stay at this job.

Definitely hit them up if car hauling is what you want to do. Hauling cars is all I have ever done so I don’t have any info on other types of hauling out there. But no 10k is to the company normally when car haulers talk about what they make it’s based on trucks gross and then we make between 25-30% off what the trucks gross is.

@CarcarrierTv
@CarcarrierTv 2 жыл бұрын
Honestly make them and post them is the biggest after that just be yourself and find a path you want your videos to go down. Do you want them to be informative like mine or do you have a big personality and you can be more entertaining type of thing. My thing is I’m more of an introvert and I don’t have a big loud personality so informative style suits me I’m not the life of the party type never wanted to be I’m the type man I’m the ass hole saying dude you can make that jump don’t worry about it lol. But seriously it’s all about getting them out there and doing what you enjoy once you find that the viewers will find you my channel is very niche so it’s never gonna have a couple 100,000 subs I figure for an informative channel that’s about a niche part of the trucking industry I’ll top out around 20k-30k subs. So I’ll leave it off with set goals you want the channel to do and then build in that direction

I do that most of the time as well. Also ppl don’t realize backing onto a main road is illegal. So if I have to back out onto a road I either have a spotter or I call for a local sheriff or town police to come out and stop traffic so I don’t kill anyone not paying attention

Sorry 1-do your hire felons that is 12 years old? 2-how much driving experience do you need to drive a car hauler for your company ? 3-do y'all stay loaded? 4-and if not how much down time do you have in between loads? And can you let me know any second chance car companies willing to train one year experience,
@CarcarrierTv
@CarcarrierTv Жыл бұрын
So as for felons yes as long as it’s not auto theft. The driving experience is at least 6 months otr. Staying loaded yes in 3 years here I have only 1 time waited for a load. Normally your next load is 100-200 miles away. And there’s no downtime they have all the work you could ever want so as long as your willing they have another load for you

@CarcarrierTv
@CarcarrierTv Жыл бұрын
Maybe once in a while when you have a great week but not every week. Nobody is pulling $1,040,000 a year with 1 truck. There’s guys making 450-550k per year but that’s not many of them. And they also aren’t gonna be home ever. Expect 350-450 for most good car haulers and anyone who tries to say different tell them to show their tax statements

@CarcarrierTv is Jacksonville to California and back a good lane? For a 8 car hauler?
@CarcarrierTv
@CarcarrierTv Жыл бұрын
Every lane can be good and bad at different times of the year so I don’t know for sure. But the key is gonna be having your own work going one of those directions. The way I ran my company was I made a profit on the whole week on my own work in one direction that way I didn’t need the back hauls if they sucked. There will be times that your back haul may be 8 picks and 8 drops and when that happens I would just hustle back or partway back to get to a better load. But with cars if you aren’t set on 1 route 100% of the time you can make any lane work well
@MrDmacc1

@@CarcarrierTv out of the 350-450 k how much is Net, because you can gross 1million dollars, but how much do you actually keep,
@CarcarrierTv
@CarcarrierTv Жыл бұрын
So car hauling should be done in 1/4s meaning when your pricing work for a normal run 25% of gross should be fuel 25% should be driver pay 25% should be bills and repairs and 25% profit. So a truck that pulls 400k in a year 100k should be profits if everything goes smoothly. But realistically you’ll probably keep 40-60k at the end of the year
