Your car runs real nice bro. I have a 09 7AT G37 sedan RWD and I love to drive in sport mode. But when im cruising with my family in the car I keep it on D. However lately I have been having this issue where if I have it in D, any road where I have to maintain speed of over 50mph, the car jerks, loses power and I cant go past about 65 mph without it jerking violently. Now I only use it in sport mode because I noticed as long as I keep it from going into 6th and 7th gear it wont jerk and lose power. But if i forget and shift into 6th it jerks and also the CEL, SLIP, and VDC light come on. As long as i stay off of highways and long roads that require 50mph or higher im good but as you know, nobody buys these cars to drive them slow.. I have changed the Valve Cover Gaskets and spark tube seals, the spark plugs, 2 new maf sensors and 1 maf sensor connector… i dont want to get rid of it but i dont know of anyone else who has this problem so now im just asking anyone in the VQ37 community. If you have any knowledge of what it could be I’d greatly appreciate it.

hi, just found this channel, thanks for putting out no bs content with clear direction. i’m curious if you guys have experimented with any itb setups and if you think it would be beneficial (complete setup/supporting parts) or more of a diminishing return on this platform
@admintuning2 жыл бұрын
I think it would be worth substantial power & response, but you need Motec to control it properly, so implementing it would be very expensive.

Nice 370 but Totally irrelevant to the video my question is what are the best upgrades for a 2011 g37xs sedan or if it’s even worth upgrading is it bad for the motor perhaps bc it’s not the vhr like the 2012?

What was the wheel torque when you hit 672 whp on the BP turbo kit when you maxed out?
@admintuning2 жыл бұрын
Over 570wtq.
@brianjackson57322 жыл бұрын
@@admintuning Those are excellent numbers. I know the built motor crowd would want more, but these are great numbers for a stock block.

@@brianjackson5732 I definitely folded those rods like lawn chairs at that torque level on the stock engine.
@brianjackson57322 жыл бұрын
@@admintuning Really, I figured that you would get to around 600 wtq before the rods would give. I guess that e85 has given many of us unrealistic expectations.
@admintuning2 жыл бұрын
@@brianjackson5732 GTR motors will hold around 600wtq, a VHR motor torque threshold is a lot lower, realistically if you want it to last you want to stay under 500wtq.

RPM instead of mph.(Done near the end) Boost response plot verses rpm. Would add another dimension to the discussion. 6275 -6875 - All the low end torque gone and no increase in Horse power. - Torque increased at top end but horse power is the same. How is this possible? What would have been the power of the 6266 on 24psi ? 7675 Does it not have the same compressor size as the 6875? Low end torque drops even more. What matters most to a driver? Low end torque and boost response or massive power at top?
@admintuning2 жыл бұрын
a 6266 will be lucky to touch 700 on this engine at max. 7675 has the same turbine as a 6875, but the compressor wheel and compressor cover are radically different (this is covered in the video). Having more power where you actually need it (high RPM where the engine is at during high performance operation) is more important than having a lot of torque at low RPM and horsepower trailing off at high RPM.
@fernandohood55422 жыл бұрын
@@admintuning Fair enough. On the street I prefer good low and midrange torque verse massive top end power. Something is not right at 3:08 with the graphs. I would like to see more on the 6266 side before jumping to a huge turbo. What A/R was used on the turbine housing? I would have stuck with the 6266 and perhaps go up on the A/R on the hot side . Other options would be go 6466 with the same A/R or increased A/R on the hot side. As indicated previously plotting the boost response would be nice. Full drag setup would be bigger is better as you stated.
@admintuning2 жыл бұрын
@@fernandohood5542 the 6266 was a 1.15 AR divided housing. Anything smaller would make less power up top. The 6875 was noticeably laggier than the 6266 at first (on the dyno), but on the street, they felt very similar (probably just my driving style). Increasing the hot side only does so much, when you have a restriction on the cold side (this was explained in the video as well). I have tuned 370Zs with this turbo kit using a 6466 and they max out around 720-760whp depending on weather conditions. This is why I made this video, to illustrate that you need more cold side for this engine. It is 3.7L of displacement with very potent, efficient cylinder heads, which means that the turbocharger becomes a restriction earlier on this engine than other import car platforms. This is not stated in the video, but the 7675 made 850whp on one of the pulls I did, but the injectors were maxed out. If I had larger injectors, the 7675 could easily support close to, if not right at 900whp peak on this engine, and potentially more (hard to say because other restrictions would come into play).

I want to go a rear mount turbo mainly for aesthetics. What would be the smallest turbo you’d recommend not looking to make anything more then 500? Just want something that spoils fast.
@admintuning10 күн бұрын
Rear mounts are probably the least aesthetically pleasing turbo kits and they sound the worst also. But for fast spool, a PTE 6266 or 6466 would be the best bet, and they can still make great power.
