Good work, very happy to learn from real scenarios. Do you have a follow up to this session?

A shepherd's hook works well too. Probably works even better, because you don't have to worry about getting kicked and hurt from untying the rope.

Congrats you showed people how NOT to train this. I’ll make sure to show my students this ;)

Thank you for sharing your opinion. We stand by our method as we know it works safely and consistently. Good luck and stay safe!

@Melanie Skovby I agree with you. If the horse is tame enough to get the rope on the leg, then why use that. Plus, someone's gonna have to get that rope off the leg. So this is actually a very unsafe way to accomplish this. The man also puts himself in the kick zone so frequently, if this horse wanted to hurt him he could of many, many times. This is a baby that totally didn't need the leg rope , what he needed was a trainer with more knowledge :(

There are multiple different methods of training. Just because someone does it differently than you doesn't mean there doing it wrong. Not every horse is going to learn from the same method, they're all different. Just like not everyone learns math the same way. The way you do it might work for some horses but it won't work for all. Same thing with this method might work for some but not all. Different doesn't mean wrong.
