The mega carriers need to change the nomenclature of these contracts. It's a LEASE with the OPTION of purchase at the end of the term. You're renting it until you buy it basically. The marketing geniuses added the "word" purchase to help drivers feel like they weren't getting totally shafted.

What you seriously need to buy, I wish I bought mine when my truck was new. It’s a fifth wheel slick plate. It’s a sheet of plastic that covers your fifth wheel. So you can not ruin the fifth wheel with grease that gets everywhere. It has a 5 year warranty so you don’t need to waste money on grease alone. It’s made by macsimizer I believe is how it’s spelled. Mine was 350.00. Grease is 10 a tube at Walmart. So 5 years not needing grease is worth it alone. Plus the mess it makes in your rear end. I wish I knew about it before I got my truck. I’ve had mine installed for about 2 months and it’s amazing. Especially not needing to get out in 15 degree weather to try and apply cold grease. Sure you can keep it inside the cab but the slick plate is a game changer. Get one bro

You have to have that same skid plates on the trailers, which Prime isn't gonna do.

@@Tyrie3790 it’s best to remove as much grease as you can. Since you won’t need it anymore it’s better to get it off so you have a clean surface to mount it. I took mine to the local car wash and spent about 10 bucks blasting it off with the high pressure water. It’s best that way so you can get as much off as possible. And it was pretty satisfying getting it off with the hose

No you don’t. I’ve had mine installed for a few months now. If you put more plates on the trailer all that does is make the trailer sit higher. All the slick plate does is eliminate the need for grease. I don’t have to worry about metal on metal anymore. No need to buy grease for at least the 5 year warranty. Plus the slick plate lets the truck turn easier since it always has a constant smooth surface. You don’t need to install anything on the trailer. I almost forget it’s there but remind myself how much nicer it is not to need nasty grease anymore.

Why you didn’t just get a Used lease Purchase from Pedigree which you would’ve paid off in 2 years since you hand procrastinated so much and let time catch up on you are you could’ve get a used truck from pedigree and pay once a month with outside finance since you’ve your llc for more than 2 years, Just asking, I Took a used truck from pedigree and I love it, I didn’t want to wait for a new truck, I wanted to start paying towards ownership of my truck

If you get a new truck you can drive for almost 6 years and 600k miles warranty and dont have to worry about anything. After 6 years sell it to pedigree and cash 60 to 70 k

It is very obvious everything involving a prime lease purchase is a scam. Prime makes money on every truck that they sell as a lease purchase vechicle. The driver pays 12 or 15 hundred dollars every week as a truck payment for 36 months. Take a week or two off for vacation and you still owe the truck payment. It don't end with just paying weekly for the truck payment. You owe weekly for truck maintenance and tires once again doesnt matter if the truck is sitting still or is being driven. Everything is about making the prime corporation money. The driver well doesnt receive a nickle until prime has been paid for the truck payment truck maintenance and the tire replacement. If anything is left after that then the driver receives his or her pay. By the way insurance and registration and permits also is deducted. Look around primes terminals and everything is in tip top shape with the finest buildings which all of that belongs to the prime corporation. Its true prime is definitely all about looking out for prime. One more thing the trainers at prime the students that are trained by the trainers are paid by the trainers and not the prime corporation. This is definitely another scam that prime does. If the trainer takes days off they arent making any money remember when the wheels arent turning the driver isn't making any money however the student is still being paid by the trainer. There is situations where the student will receive more money than the trainer. That is definitely another scam. Prime is definitely not the place for a hard working professional driver to be employed.

That his truck payment . $1400 AWEEK. No not a month. And he had to go to the Post Office. To do a change of Address. And have all his mail forwarded to the truck. $1400 a week. No going home.
