Why is nobody talking about how well this horse is stopping? She mumbles a brief and quiet “woah” and he INSTANTLY stops! I’m impressed. Plus this video was very helpful

This lady knows what she is talking about. Refreshing

This is the first video I've watched that addresses the rear leg in the proper position and not just the front leg! This was very helpful, thanks so much!

I am so happy I watched this. I thought my horse is stubborn on going onto the left lead. I've been giving the wrong cue 😭

This is going to be so helpful to me! Thank you so much for posting this. I am currently retraining a mare and I tried every other possible way to pick up her lead. Thanks again!

Great explanation thank you. There are a million videos about leads and how to get them, but this one actually explains the mechanics, very nicely done.

Only if my horse listened to my leg that well...

Excellent video! It's all about teaching your horse to "give" correctly to your hand/leg, when you do that you will always get the correct lead.

So to get on the correct lead you use your outside calf and inside rein while loosening your outside rein?
@MrMrStruggles Жыл бұрын
Hello Allison, I don't know if you will answer this as it has been 11 years. Great explanation though, I can get the horse that I am riding to move its rear in the correct direction but as for the shoulders that is not clear to me. What is the position of the outside leg?

Is this also for cantering??
@Luvbug599376 жыл бұрын
Ryder K cantering and loping are the same thing. It’s just different words and more speed/stretch I guess that’s how you explain it. western uses “lope” and English uses “canter”
@Luvbug599376 жыл бұрын
But people use both because it’s the same thing

shouldn't you be on the right lead as you turn left in the circle and left lead as you turn right in the circle?
@donfunte99585 жыл бұрын
No
@emberdragon64985 жыл бұрын
If you do that your outside leg will get pulled forward and it will be much harder to stay on.
