I'm a Liverpool fan and I am expecting the next manager to need time. I also don't like this narrative that all Liverpool fans want is a big personality in the management position. We want a good manager. Every successful manager at Liverpool becomes a cult hero, Klopp happens to be both a massive personality and hugely successful. I would argue that Xabi Alonso's more calm demeanour would be a great change of pace for LFC, someone like De Zerbi might comes across as trying to hard to be Klopp 2.0. Similar to the change we had from Bill Shankly to Bob Paisley is what I'm thinking. Listening to Sam talk about what Liverpool fans want and expect was a little irritating.

As a Liverpool fan, we all want Xabi, we understand it might take him a season or 2 to settle in and get his message across properly, but we have a connection with him, he knows us, he knows the city, he understands the league and is showing enough to prove he might be the next best manager. Most likely outcome for Xabi Alonso is staying at Leverkusen for one more year, experiencing UCL with them and moving to Madrid the next year. Ancelotti extended his contract for another year not too long ago, so it’s possible that Real Madrid have anticipated this and expect to sign him after next season.

Bayern Munich is very different from a lot of clubs. The higher-ups are and have been desperate to be the super club like Real Madrid so much so that they have put unrealistic expectations for managers over the years. De Zerbi is a great coach but Bayern will never go for the likes of him. Until the time Uli höneß is still in control of things at Bayern, they will never go for an unproven coach. Realistically, the two top names currently are Alonso and Zidane. And, if they do go for someone younger, it will be either Sebastian Höneß or, and it's a wildcard, Julian Nagelsmann (I think they are still paying a part of his wages, lol).
