He's my favourite character, and even I feel he's going to get killed off. But in a glorious and respectful end to his life. Where we could appreciate his presence one last time. Or He becomes a background character who shows up every once in while, fights well enough to put on guard everyone, but rarely ever gets the W.

This is why the Sumo Arc was so redundant. When each major character fought Pickle, they were changed forever. Mushashi kicked up things a notch with *DEATH* such as Retsu. If the main characters don't grow, the villain isn't a dynamic one.

Probably. Without Bakis demon back Oliva was stronger, then with it Baki surpassed him. So its Yujiro( demon back)>FP Pickle>Yujiro( no demon back).

That would have been a stalemate, or maybe Pickle would still have overwhelmed Yujiro a bit. Because if u mention Demon Back for the latter, then it's only fair that True Form for the former applies as well. And that Form adds on strength from all his rivals from the past metaphysically, making him FAR more durable, far more stronger and giving him a form of regeneration.

@@JoeInTheElement I don't remember regen being on there. Regen is just a Baki basic. The prisoner with the grey hair had his ribs shattered completely, and instantly recovered. So everyone in Baki has this ability, Yujiro is stronger, faster, more durable, smarter, and built different.

Imagine a baki series called son of pickle where the reporter he had "affair" with had a child and kept him. That could be pretty cracked with the boy having to get into the underground tournaments to learn about his father and maybe defeat him to avenge his mother (almost like jack back in the days). And imagine, he could meet an older version of baki and why not baki's son. This idea is rent free in my head

I love the Katsumi spin off manga where he manages to defeat Jack hanma. He does this after the events of the Pickel arc, where he only has one arm by the end of it/the beginning of this manga. Also this spin is pretty good. So I would recommend it. If you are in to spin offs. This one is very good in my opinion

My favourite Baki character. Ever. People don't realise...not thematically, but Pickle is to Yujiro, what Enkidu was to Gilgamesh. Both were almost evenly matched, no one behind the other. Gilgamesh was so powerful and great, and had both royal and divine lineage, uber-powerful and his pride even more than that. No one on Earth living at that time was even close to be his match. Then the Gods made a weapon, a device they hoped would defeat him or at least bring Gilgamesh back to them, and they poured their powers into a artificial humanoid creature named Enkidu. He was the equal yet opposite of Gilgamesh. Both were equal in talent, potential and strength. Gilgamesh was skilled, tactical, and trained. Enkidu was brute, instinctual and primal. Both fought and that was the closest Gilgamesh had ever been to losing, but he somehow edged a win by the skin of his teeth. But later, out of sheer respect, they became the closest of people, bond deeper than blood brothers nd family members. But in Baki, all the other aspects other than strength, skill and power has been removed , so the distinction bw both parallels is apparent.

He's also not that overly experienced with martial art battles especially the type that goes on in baki. Now if that was sukune vs pickle maybe we'd see something you know.

he changed baki forever in a negative way baki was supposed to be a martial arts anime where a boy takes down opponents using different martial arts in pursuit of defeating his father, the strongest man alive. but in pickle, we get a prehistoric creature that came back to life which takes away the realistic aspect of the show which im not much of a fan of. I liked baki because it was realistic to a certain aspect but with the introduction of pickle, musashi, the series became unrealistic and i lost interest. yes this was a rant.
