At 8:00 Chris volleys a ball with his left foot on the NVZ line. Ref points down at his feet and says "Foot fault right there"

Thanks for pointing that out.

A lot of unforced errors but you can see the talent and skill there by all the players. Chris was the star of that show. Youth is often a plus in pickleball rather than a hindrance as long as they are patient. Mobile, touch and great reflexes are some of the advantages of youth.

Chris is really good. Love his backhand.

The Somoan players (if they flew half way around the world) could still have jet lag? Also the Pickleball game in Somoa may be slightly different in play compared to the US. There are various styles of play in the US based on region (in the US).

That's true. They probably live in the United States. I really have no idea.

I have learned never give up. In Rec play last Monday my partner and I were behind 7-1 and came back and won 11-7. A few games later, different partner, different opponents, we were behind 9-2 and won 11-9. And even later my partner and I were ahead 7-0 and lost 11-9. You can never tell in Pickleball. It is really a game of runs.

No doubt about it. Never give up. Thanks for watching.

I’ve watched a lot of your videos and when you “pick apart” lower level play, you often point out the shallow serves and returns. Seems like 65-70% of the serves and returns were quite shallow?

Sometimes they are. I'd have to go back and watch.

Excellent match and come back for Samoans--I thought the match was going to be a quick one but I should know better at the 5.0 level :-)

On Maddox missed game winning over head put-away shot : as I've pointed out sooo often , his body was already too open upon contact with the ball , hitting during what should have been the follow through position . It'll go into the net most every time !

What I’ve noticed is that when high level players play against each other, they don’t stand out as much. I’m around a 3.75, but if I play against 5.0’s I look like a 2.5.
