That is an option for sure. If you had an option of the two shots, giving you make the two shots, dropping or lobbing, I would recommend dropping as it puts your opponents reaching down and having to hit the ball up to get it over the net, lobbing gives your opponent to hit the ball down at your feet putting you at the disadvantage.
