@@glogvas9717 I 1000% agree he needs to lose some weight and get surgery on the hernia but just a fyi from a RN ..... a hernia is not from infection... it is when there is a hole/split in the muscle of the abdomen and the intestines literally comes through the hole making the bulge that is visible on the outside and leaving his intestines covered and protected by only skin instead of skin and muscle like it's supposed to be. A person can get one in the abdomen, groin, or in this case he has a umbilical hernia, that is where the muscles do not grow closed like they are supposed after birth where the baby was attached to their mom by the umbilical cord in utero. He has had this since birth but his weight doesn't help matters at all. Where a hernia gets dangerous is if the intestines get pinched or twisted in the hole. That is very dangerous because then it can kill that part of the intestine and go septic. If that happens it is so painful he would be rushing to the hospital for surgery. He desperately needs to have it fixed before this happens since it is one more way he is risking his life and risking leaving Bridgette to raise Mia as a single mom. The purple color is because u can see the coloring of the intestine through the thin skin and maybe also some bruising from the swelling.
