We grew up with a jar of pickled pigs feet in our refrigerator the whole time I was growing up. Now, 50 yrs later, living in Mexico, I am going to make these. Thanks for priming the pump,!!!

Dear, it might help if you were to know that where I live people often pickle pork hocks with the same recipe they use for pigs feet. This seems much more accepted by children and others who might then at least try them with you. Thank you so much for sharing and wish you the best. Mrs. K.

When I lived in Asia all of my friends are pig feet and had wonderful looking youthful skin! Pig feet is great for collagen production in the skin which prevents lines and wrinkles. They don't use expensive creams or Botox. My girlfriend's are all in their late 30s and still look like teenagers! When cooked well, pig feet is delicious! Thanks!
I just love people who clean there foods just love it.

I grew up in the American south eating picked pig feet from a jar similarly to red hot pickled sausage and pickled eggs… they’re dyed an iconic bright red color, and typically sold individually for $2.50 in gas stations, corner stores, and from the countertops of little old gramma type women called “aunties” or “julep ladies” (because they’d put fruit cocktail in the bottom of a Dixie cup and top with koolaid before freezing, and sell these homemade popsicles to neighborhood kids after school for $.25, and we called them juleps lol… I think in hindsight the adults may have been receiving a different variation of the same treat 🤪) Recently I’m going through a very stressful breakup and starting a new low carb revenge diet that limits the majority of my favorite comfort foods, but thankfully these are still on the menu ☺️ I moved to a fancier part of town and had to drive to three stores to find them, but it was so worth it!

Glad to stumble across the vid and see you in action. I am currently making your recipe mixed with a cajun recipe for pickled pigs feet; some fresh hot chile peppers (several types) and more garlic to your basic recipe. I look forward to viewing your other vids. Incidentally, I am amused by the indignant vegetarians who made negative comments. To them I have two questions: did you think a food vid labeled "Pickled Pigs Feet Recipe" would be vegetarian?, and secondly..., it took you to the end of the vid to figure it was about pigs feet?

Thank you for showing your cooking of Pig feet. I like this one, but I have a question for you. Although I cleaned it very well as your instruction, but after cooking, the pig feet are still bad smell that I couldn't enjoy much. Can you please tell me how to remove its smell. Thank you
@AnaLopez-ej5qo7 жыл бұрын
Be Yourself use lemon juice. First wash it with hot water. Then rub them with with lemon juice. let it sit for about 10- 20 minutes. Then rinse. This will kill any bacteria and the raw smell. Anytime I cook pork or chicken I use lemon and when you eat it doesn't smell at all.
@barbram80015 жыл бұрын
Be Yourself...Burn, or shave all hair off, with new disposable shavers. Boil a pot of water, and blanch them for 3 minutes, pour water off, proceed with recipe, that you like.

Such a waste in the kitchen. You can use the broth from the pig's feet in your next meal. Like a "tlačenka" or a " ovarová polévka" (soup) . The hair is removed by the flame. Not with a knife...
