Pickpocketed in Paris

Getting pick-pocketed in Paris is really not the ideal way to start a trip to Copenhagen, and even though I am always usually vigilant, it happened to me! (Which is part of the reason I switched between cameras half way into this vlog.)

Don't feel bad. Same thing happened to my friend in Barcelona - it's a common strategy to do it as the train doors are closing. Luckily someone alerted us and when my friend looked out of the train car, they had thrown his wallet on the ground and only his cash was gone. Never keep ur wallet in ur back pocket and watch when ppl "bump" into you. ...I got picked pocketed in Paris and I chased down the guy and made him give me back my phone...

Ja, I'm super alert normally but in this case I was panicking to get on the train cause if we missed it we could have missed out flight 😓 and it was taken from my front pocket but my pockets themselves on those pants are so terrible and easy to access 🙄

I spent 6 months in Paris and was pickpocketed my very last weekend there. Actually, it was at my going away party at the bar where I used to work. Ah Paris, the City of Light.... City of light pockets

Hi :) Here in Denmark we color our dairy products in different colors. The milk with the lowest fat is gray, next is light blue, and then dark blue. The green one is buttermilk, the red one is whipping cream, and coffee cream is orange..... and that's the sour milk, and junket too. :)

mate, when i lived in Paris 18 years ago it happened to me, but just a little worse, I was on my way to post all my rolls of film and video footage home from 8 months already in EU to my parents, I literaly put my bag down between my legs to put my jumper on, didnt even think twice and the bag was gone, all the footage and rolls of film, and why not for good measure my passport and wallet which I had only just put in there to put my jumper on, grrrr, paris is one of my fav cities in the world but also one of my not so fav becuase of this

I'm also a seasoned traveller and also got pickpocketed last summer, only lost €20 but still a bad experience. They don't steal phones anymore since they are useless once locked.

i guess the milk was a kind of 'karnemelk' as we say in flemish (prob about the same in afrikaans?) oh and those bowls!!!! everywhere right! i remember when i was a kid that we got them at the gasstation, like every time you fill your tank you got little stamps and a full card gave you a set of those bowls ... guess there must have been a chinese factory to went overkill on the production of these ones :) so funny to find them wherever you travel :)

Fun fact, they have the same ham slicer in the Tivoli View restaurant in Tivoli Hotel. It's a pain in the ass to clean.

When I had trouble using my bank card last January, I went to FOREX, in Central Station, and they had a little device that I was able to get money out from them. You may not be in Copenhagen anymore, but they may be able to help. Plus, I always carry emergency dollars to exchange in an emergency.

I would have reacted the same if my wallet was lifted!! I use front jean pockets for phone and wallet. Hard to dip them. I wasn't sure if that waiter was cutting ham either, coz it looked let's just say, painful? You were deffo thinking the same....!

I had a similar experience to Sav when I traveled to Sweden. I went into a store looking for whole milk and there was this orange colored container that said Full Mjolk. It had to be whole milk, right? Wrong! Turns out I should have grabbed the blue colored container...

Sebastian Ricketts - keep ur wallet in your front pocket not ur back pocket, leave some credit cards in the hotel safe in case ur wallet is stolen. Don't talk to strangers that approach u and watch out for groups of guys esp in metro and tourist spots (one will stop short infront of u and two will pick pocket u behind u...also watch video on Paris scams...

It's not such a serious thing that it's happening everywhere I don't think, it's only in super crowded areas and where your forced to be close to people, so if you can avoid that then that'a fine, otherwise maybe a little man bag won't hurt as long as you can protect it

I bought a "Pacsafe RFIDsafe V125 Anti-Theft RFID Blocking Tri-Fold Wallet, Grey Camo" (fairly expensive), but had to buy my own decent chain and clasp for it, for it only came with a basic cord attacher. It's difficult to find quality for these travel things. The wallet itself feels good and is quality... just a shame they couldn't match it with a decent quality chain - but with my chain, it's all good.
