While we weren’t direct customers of sams, we have spent many hours in the westend dyno room And Sam was always so kind and welcoming, always had time to chat and was such an awesome guy It was beyond heart breaking to hear of the news, an incredible man was lost but he’ll never be forgotten

Speaking to one of the judges, it scored the highest he had ever given a car for the engineering category. it literally came down to the quality of welds on the down pipes under the ceramic coating and small intricacies for points.

Yeah, I think if you want fan choice, you have to promote or build your hype now due to the internet. That Statesman was - other than the copper wheels - was just NUTS. Like I really appreciate all the changes even the rear end. But as you noted just bits of it was off chops and I could find near no issues. The SV88 was nice but to be honest. I'm over VL's I'm over Rb30's an turbo ( I can feel the hate). Possibly just personal thing for me. BossXc was nice but yeah up close bits I thought were a bit under done compared to some other cars on show like the VL etc. I just hope it encourages more people to build. Might also mean maybe they need to make peoples choice a ON SHOW only for cars unveiled as, really if you spend enough money /time with you tube videos or other social you can easily bring the hype to the show.

everyone has different prefences of choice I like cars so nothing really puts me off I'm a Holden guy but I don't mind a nice ford either and I think everyone should start building I believe it's great to see and its a good community of people it would also help if more car enthusiasts,and builders were willing to teach abit more too tho but good comment mate I can agree with it for sure I think a comp for on show cars only is a great idea, gives everyone a fair chance

You guys have great cars well done to all but I must say boss xc first of all it doesn’t help when the builder of the car has been in the game for years,use to be a judge of these cars years ago and is good friend with all the judges , there were so many other cars better presented then boss but how would it look to the owner of boss Xc if he has just spent big money getting the car built and doesn’t walk away with anything and not a good look on the guy that build it who charge him a shit load think about that sorry it needed to be said 👍👍

EXCESIVE looked really cool, that paint looked like you could dive into it on a hot Canberra day to cool down. Just one tip cut down on the cussin' I have posted over 1000 videos and only 1 bad word has been said in all of them. Even Hambridge gave you a serve on camera, It doesn't help your channel. Summernats 35 will be remembered for two things ,the amount of Knuckle draggers and a Porsche takin out grand champion ,but id be surprised if any of your subscribers go for anything else but to see cars doing skids ,organisers dont get on top of the unwashed carrying on like meatsacks i doubt there will be an event similar to this year ,id be puttin kill switches on all the cars most especially on Tuff st and Skid Row and all fails limit the alcohol ,at least the females arent getting hassled to display there breast anymore ,that shit was just wrong

nope, not at all. it was a deserving winner because it had the highest combined points tally across all the categories that make up the grand champion award including the driving events. It is NOT just the show aspect for which the statesman cleaned house and won best elite but didnt compete in the driving events.
