Thank you! If you're having trouble with the Celtic Knot with 1mm wire it might be worth trying with 0.8mm.

I see the comments say its hard to follow, but if you think about it, it should be left to the makers interpretation. I loved it and it wasn't that hard to follow. I could understand it. Not that I'm the best. But if I couldn't make something out I'd just use a different weave. May your mom rest in peace up there with mine playing cards, drinking coffee or something. :)

She probably uses a liver of sulfur solution to add a patina to the copper, then brushes it with a super fine steel wool to polish the surface and bring out the texture of the wire

Lily does another vidoe where she shows how she uses liver of sulfur. There is also a way to tarnish by sealing a piece in a container with a boiled egg. The piece sits on a paper towel separate from the egg and the fumes darken the metal.

Well, I wish I could say I will make this... I'm not at all up to this ability! What I would like to see is something that is pretty but can be done by a total novice. And I need to do it without a hole in the stone. All of my lapidary work is just cabochons.

Yes, this is probably an 'inspiration piece' but it is only really the combination of wires and weaves that make it complex. Personally, I wouldn't recommend starting with cabachons as a novice, because you're having to concentrate on both the weaves and securing the stone. But you could start with a copper bead, or glass bead if you don't want to use drilled gemstones. For cabochons, you could try encasing the stone as I do with the classic wire wrapped cabochon kzbin.info/www/bejne/aH62f4OKgp1_eNU which secures the stone first, then you're free to decorate it with whichever weaves you choose.

This a wonderful demonstration of a beautiful pendant! It goes by too fast and there is almost no instruction. I've been wire wrapping for a year, and I couldn't follow it.
