Carl Palmer where are you, you should accompany this girl. As ELP fans we demand it.
After hearing of Keith Emerson's passing I searched out some of his material on KZbin and came across this talented lady. His spirit lives in her, and some more. have absolutely fallen in love with her music.

Everyone who likes this should contribute something (anything) to the documentary film. We CAN make a difference. The film needs our support. Rachel is an extraordinary musician. It's not supporting someone who plays ELP music. It's supporting a fantastic musician who needs our help to realise her full potential. Please help if only in a small way.

I hear others play covers of ELP, but NONE have the passion and feeling that you put into your art. You play from the heart, my dear and it certainly shows. You are a beautiful and amazing young woman that gives credence to an old southern saying "Can't never did!" Every video I watch of yours I find myself grinning from ear to ear. I can only imagine where you'll be 10/20/30 years from now. Much peace and happy thoughts to you and your family. Blessed be. :)

Rachel, once again you illuminate why I have always loved Emerson's chops and compositional genius. Pictures was my intro to ELP back in the day, and I was enamored from 1st listen. My Mom was/is a concert organist, so ELP held an (inevitably) overwhelming grip on me. I already loved Maurice Duruflé and Marcel Dupré, but suddenly their essence seemed to come to life in Keith in the form of rock (later to become known as prog). Again, when I hear you meticulously reinterpret his playing, it reveals-with great "naked" transparency-his mastery, and I fall in love all over again with each and every note and chord! I'm amazed at your patience with the details of his solos; not even I tried to replicate every note, but the ones I most liked. I once heard it requires brilliance to comprehend and replicate the genius of the master; the originator. Because I know his music so well-and when you're working up to the next exciting section that I'm anticipating-I'm wondering, "Will she actually cover that?!" And, of course, you always do! It's exciting! It's strange to say this, but I actually prefer hearing your quotation over the original; it reignites my seminal awe for Keith. I also adore you for embracing and performing his amazing compositions so reverently, yet having a blast with it! It's SO apparent you're having fun; your playful nature is palpable and delightful. Love the tiger hat, too!

I just saw your post after 4 yrs. I decided to read comments which I normally do not do. Thank you for sharing. I feel Keith Emerson played by Rachel Flowers is not an impression but a reproduction so close to the original it makes one shake their head in wonder.

I discovered Rachel quite by accident, astonished by her phenomenal guitar work with Dweezil Zappa band playing "Montana" . . . had no idea of the range of her talent. She is unique, to say the least. Very cool with the Moog analog synthesizer here!
@boboladouche52686 жыл бұрын
I just discovered her by accident too checking out demo videos on KZbin of various keyboards I was pondering acquiring and found one of her at Namm playing like a banshee. I could tell she wasn’t watching her hands as she played and was blown away someone could have that level of keyboard proprioception. I realized quickly she must be blind and then read her bio on Wikipedia. I checked out a lot of her other videos. What an incredible talent.

It's so mind blowing that she remembers it all and just knows by feel. Is this some kind of a gift? I am always perplexed at how she does it.
@stevenboyd5932 жыл бұрын
Most certainly, the absence of sight heightens the other senses, add to that the gift that God gave her of a trained ear and from a very early age the passion that touched her heart and sparked her imagination, a great story akin to those of Art Tatum, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and many others

I saw them just once, right after Trilogy was released, and it was truly the best concert I have ever been to, considering I did see lots of great bands back in the 70s! It seemed there was nothing Keith Emerson could not do with a keyboard, including the rotating organ! I have never seen footage of that however I remember being totally astounded by the spectacle and the musicality.

Just stumbled onto this young woman's breathless talent. The first video I watched was her "Endless Enigma" at ProgStock. When she started crying, the tears started flowing from this jaded 62-year-old's eyes as well. I've loved ELP's work for almost 50 years, had the wonderful experience of seeing them live in 1973 with a dear friend of mine who took his life the same year Mr Emerson did. Listening to this music being played with such obvious love as well as blistering skill is a very emotional experience for me. Thank you so much, Rachel.
